Helena Grace Rutherford Giersch was born on June 8, 2009, to Kelly Rutherford and Daniel Giersch. Her parents separated when her mother was three months pregnant with her.
Has an Elder Brother
Helena Grace Rutherford Giersch has an elder brother, Hermes Gustaf Daniel Giersch. He was born on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, in LA, two months after their parents’ wedding on August 18, 2006.
Helena is three years younger than her elder brother.
Their Parents’ Marriage and Divorce
Kelly Rutherford met her former partner, Daniel Giersch in 2006 and soon started dating. A few months later, Ruth became pregnant with Hermes.
The pair tied the knot on August 18, 2006. They were married for two years.
Daniel was subtly verbally abusive.

Kelly and Daniel went separate ways in 2008. In December of the same year, the 53-year-old actress filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.

Custody Battle
The Melrose Place actress, Kelly Rutherford, and her ex-husband, Daniel Giersch received joint custody of their children in a temporary agreement in August 2009. However, everything changed when the latter was deported from the US in 2012.

In August 2012, a California court ordered Helena and Hermes to live with their father in Monaco. Three years later, in 2015, another court ordered Rutherford full custody of their children. However, in July, a California judge ruled against the decision.
Kelly also filed a case in New York court seeking custody of their kids. However, the court also ordered against her since it didn’t have jurisdiction.
Meanwhile, a court in Monaco ordered full custody of their kids to their father in December 2015.
During their custody battle, Kelly had to get a restraining order against Daniel accusing him of having threatened her nanny and jeopardized her ability to breastfeed. She also filed for bankruptcy claiming her legal efforts to keep her kids in the States cost her over $1.5 million.
On the other hand, Daniel put his Cannes property for sale in 2018 after a 10-years long custody battle. He put the house for sale at £11.25 million.
