Alexis Knapp was born Alexis Merizalde Knapp on July 31, 1989, in Avonmore, Pennsylvania, to Marjorie and Bradford Elwood Knapp. She grew up in the Outer Banks of North Carolina with her three brothers

Gave Birth to a Daughter
Alexis Knapp revealed in March 2011 that Ryan Phillippe was the father of her child. A source revealed to US Weekly that the actor knew about him being the father.
Ryan has known since the beginning that he’s the dad. He is not taking a paternity test. He is a good father, and whether this is his baby or not, he wants to do the right thing and be supportive.
A source close to Knapp also revealed that she appreciates the love and support of her family and friends and has never asked or expected Ryan to help.
She has never asked Ryan for any help, nor does she expect it.
Alexis revealed about her pregnancy at an industry even in mid-Feb 2011. Phillippe was dating Amanda Seyfried at the time. (They split the same year.)
On Friday, July 1, 2011, Alexis gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Kailani Merizalde Phillippe-Knapp. The official birth certificate of Kai Knapp includes Phillippe as a part of the last name. Although the section to name the baby’s father is left blank, Ryan was by Knapp’s side during the delivery.
Alexis says Kai looked just like her dad when she was born. But as she neared her first birthday, her mother revealed that she started looking just like her.
She looks like moi. A lot more so now. They always come out looking like the dads, because men are just fat and puffy and can’t open their eyes too much.
Career of Alexis Knapp
Alexis Knapp’s career started when she came to Los Angeles at 18. She began her career as a model and the host of the popular internet video series, Project Lore, a show about the World of Warcraft game in 2008.

At the beginning of her acting career, she worked in background roles in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Couples Retreat. She received her first major role in 2012 when she was cast as Alexis in Project X and as Stacie Conrad in Pitch Perfect.
Alexis reprised her role as Stacie in the 2015 sequel of Pitch Perfect. She also appeared for a brief cameo for the last sequel of the movie in 2017.
In 2017, Knapp starred as Samantha in My Christmas Prince opposite Callum Alexander. She has since appeared in the short movie, Rosary and has completed shooting for the movies, The Accursed and The Knocking.
