Joani Harbaugh is the wife of the head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs Men’s Basketball team, Thomas Aaron Crean AKA Tom Crean.
Joani is also known for being the daughter of Jack Harbaugh and the only sister of Jim and John Harbaugh.
Early Life of Joani Harbaugh Crean
Joani Harbaugh Crean was born in 1968 to former Western Kentucky head coach, Jack Harbaugh, and Jacqueline M. Cipiti. She has two siblings, John and Jim Harbaugh, both of whom are coaching the NFL teams.

Joani studied at the St. Francis of Assisi Elementary School, Ann Arbor. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh.
Not an Athlete Like Her Brothers
Joani Crean wasn’t as athletic as her brothers. However, she played volleyball and softball during college.
I had no athletic talent. None. I just tried to participate the best I could. I just think they were being really nice to me and letting me hang out.
Married Life with Tom
Joani Harbaugh is married to the former head coach for the University of Georgia men’s basketball team, Tom Crean.
The pair first met at Western Kentucky around August 1999. They are believed to have first met at a gym through their mutual friend, Ron Burns.
I didn’t meet her until the end of August. She had just graduated from Pittsburgh. I met her at a health club that she was a sales manager for. I didn’t join the health club. Eventually, we dated and went from there.
Joani worked at the gym as an aerobics instructor while Tom started working as the assistant to then-Western Kentucky basketball team coach, Ralph Willard.
The pair have been together for a long time and they are still very much in love. Since she grew up in a family with coaches, she understands her husband’s 24/7 mentality and that has helped her maintain balance in her personal life.
Honestly, I’m more nervous watching Tom’s games. That affects our lives every day. That affects my kids going to school every day.
Mother of Three
Joani Harbaugh and Tom Crean have three children, two daughters and a son, Megan, Riley, and Ainsley Crean.
Megan was born in the mid-1990s. The 25-year-old learned to drive when she was 16.
Harbaugh and Crean’s second child, Riley was born on April 12, 1999. The 6’3″ is currently studying sports management at the University of Georgia. He had graduated from Bloomington North High School.
Riley is currently playing as the right-handed pitcher for Georgia Bulldogs Baseball Team.
Ainsley is their youngest child. She was born on May 6, 2006.
