Career as an Equestrian

Eve is also an equestrian. She learned how to ride horses at the age of six and she hasn’t stopped riding them ever since.

I was first put on a pony at two years old but didn’t actually start really riding until I was about six. I have always had a love and appreciation for animals and I think that passion was evident pretty early on.

To help her career as a showjumper, her mother, Laurene Powell bought a $15.3 million 3.5 acre ranch in Wellington, Florida, in 2016. The ranch is reported to have a showjumping training rink and a barn that can hold up to 20 horses.

Our jump-off round worked out really great. She was awesome and it feels amazing to win. I competed at the National Horse Show last year in the Junior Jumpers, and I had a rail down in the Classic, and I was pretty bummed about it. Coming back this year and being able to win it is amazing.

During her senior career, she was even named Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month for March in 2017. She earned the award for her extraordinary performance during weeks 8 and 9 at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Florida.

Riding always keeps you humble. It’s great to see your hard work pay off, but you have to constantly stay at the top of your game. It has taught me independence, dedication, and perseverance, which I can apply to all realms of my life.
